Honkai Impact 3rd is an action RPG with an incredible anime aesthetic where you'll take on the role of the Captain, a leader who must lead a group of powerful Valkyries whose powers are the only ones capable of confronting Honkai. And who or what is Honkai? It's a mysterious energy or entity that, bit by bit, is corrupting and destroying everything it touches. You are the last line of defense between this dreaded disease and humanity.

Epic combat

One of the very first things that makes Honkai Impact 3rd stand out is its spectacular game combat, heavily reminiscent of the legendary Bayonetta. You can perform almost infinite combos with different heroines in the game while taking on colossal creatures. By dodging just at the right moment, you'll also activate a few seconds of slow motion during which you can destroy your enemies. Thanks to features like this, the game greatly rewards accuracy and encourages you to hone your skills. Each character also has their own unique abilities, called QTEs, which usually allow you to deal huge amounts of damage.

Tons of Valkyries and Battlesuits to collect

Honkai Impact 3rd has over a dozen different Valkyries, each with a unique personality, that you can meet and interact with. Each Valkyrie also has between three and ten different Battlesuits, which can be collected through the classic gacha system. It's the Battlesuits that allow them to engage in combat. Each one allows you to perform different types of attacks, so depending on which one you choose in each level, you'll be able to use a certain set of skills. Learning which Battlesuit is the most effective for each enemy in the game is also very important.

Collect all the Valkyries

You can access the profile of each Valkyrie you've unlocked from the game's main menu. As usual, you'll only have one warrior in your team at the beginning, the charismatic Kiana Kaslana. But you'll soon be able to unlock many more, each with their own exclusive outfits. From this menu, you can interact with them, talk to them, give them gifts and go on dates. You can also get new and better weapons to customize their combat styles and, of course, you can level them up through experience points. The more you level up your Valkyries, the more health points they will get and the more damage they will deal in battle.

Hundreds of levels and events

Honkai Impact 3rd has dozens of different missions across loads of different settings and events. As you complete them, the game's story will also progress, allowing you to discover the hidden secrets behind the Honkai catastrophe. During the early stages of the game, the whole story and its many strange new concepts might sound a bit confusing, but little by little, thanks to the Valkyries themselves, it will gradually all start to make sense. Some of the game's more advanced special events also introduce certain elements of the Lore that will help you understand much more of the game's backstory.
